Today I'm trying on my "conservative wacko blogger" suit. Let's see how it fits. The title is a nice start, yes?
The Rhode Island Department of Education is saying no to God's law and saying yes to anarchy and free love. From the NewStandard:
In the latest victory for advocates of comprehensive sex education, the Rhode Island Department of Education last week said state-funded schools should cease participation in a federally funded abstinence-only curriculum.
More god-hating-commie-atheism on the flip:
Of course, it's the America-hating ACLU that's kicking up a fuss:
ACLU director Steven Brown said the Heritage program used false information about sexually transmitted diseases and conveyed negative stereotypes of homosexuals and women to students. Additionally, the ACLU charged, Heritage (of Rhode Island) invaded student's privacy by collecting information about sexual activity.
Now, aside from my having no problem whatsoever with invasion of privacy (God's work has no time for your so-called "rights"), using admittedly false stories to scare these little fornicators into shape, OR presenting homosexuality as negative (duh! Dude, to me those people might as well be the creatures in "Aliens") - they attack Heritage's use of real science:
Brown cited several examples of statements of questionable educational value from Heritage materials it obtained. Those materials, part of the Heritage Keepers Abstinence Manual, include an admonition from the organization that girls should wear modest clothing so as not to invite boys' sexual attention.
Look, everyone knows that if a girl wears something that a boy finds sexy, she's just inviting trouble for both of them. Thankfully, young men haven't had to bear the burden for that, and rightfully so - it's her goddamned fault. Clearly, women are to blame for men wanting sex so badly.
Wow . . . I have to say, it's getting hard to maintain this level of idiocy.
Anyway,
SIECUS found that Heritage has received well over a million dollars in federal funds for its programs since 2004. The Rhode Island arm operates with a three-year, $400,260 grant under the US Department of Health and Human Services' Community Based Abstinence Education program.
Well, all I have to say to that is God Bless You, Mr. President, for putting my tax dollars in the exact place they are most needed. Oh dear, I'm tearing up . . . I just love that man. Wait, not "love" like a freakin' gay, I mean . . . look, just shut up. You know what the hell I mean. And that poster-sized picture of him in his flight suit on the aircraft carrier is hanging in my room because it was a beautiful moment, not because of how nicely the suit complimented his blessed manhood. Moving on:
In recent years, several studies have raised serious questions about the efficacy and accuracy of abstinence-only sex-ed. Responding to the rising tide of information, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and California rejected hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal sex-education funds over requirements that they be used strictly for abstinence-only curricula, StateLine.org reported.
Two years ago, report by the US House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform found that many such programs funded by the federal government presented false information. The findings were followed by several others showing that the programs achieve questionable results at best and may actually harm children, especially homosexual children who are often taught that their sexuality is wrong.
All of that is of course a lie. Except about teaching homosexual children that their sexuality is wrong. Thankfully, at that age it's much easier to turn them back to normal through intense and aggressive psychological training. Some really terrific summer camps out there, and I hear the kids really have a lot of fun.
I'm praying that Rhode Island Department of Education sees the light, and welcomes back Heritage's abstinence-only program - remember, abstinence programs have proven to be the most effective and successful tool to fight against the natural instincts of healthy young men and women. Anyone who says otherwise is a pot-smoking-free-loving-homo-commie (who hates our troops).
